Märklin mould novelties and variants

  • Created by Redaktion

Märklin has recently delivered some new moulds, but also mould variants, which we would like to briefly present here.

Märklin has launched its Nuremberg exhibition locomotive 2024 with the multi-purpose diesel locomotive V 125 (88211) of the Württembergische Eisenbahn Gesellschaft (WEG), which has the ZFI annual car 2022 (98203; available from the 1zu220 shop) on the hook in our photo. The model for Era V is technically equipped in the familiar way, but has also been given two ventilation domes on the long front end. The DB monument locomotive 044 389-5 (88976) set up in Altenbeken is also travelling to customers. Märklin has made visual changes to this model that correspond to its listed status until around summer 2023.

In our August issue, the new Off 52 (86235) double-decker car transport wagons are put to the test. Like the prototypes, they are based on the Omm 52 and are therefore one metre too short. The reason for this is the lack of an exactly matching running gear for this combination of stems.

The ETA 150 battery railcar with the DB ESA 150 driving trailer (88250) has also just arrived. This vehicle, painted in RAL 3004 purple red, is the Insider Club model 2023, which we expect to test in detail in September.
